Gutor Technology
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

Gutor Electronic, as part of Schneider Electric, supplies uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions and supports the offshore, power generation and petrochemicals industries.

Customised UPS systems for adverse offshore conditions

Gutor UPS solutions are designed for industrial applications and customised to meet the client’s specific needs, with a focus on quality, reliability and capacity to withstand adverse environments.

The systems are designed to meet stringent safety standards and the IEEE standard as category 1E material. Solutions often undergo environmental and seismic qualifications according to accepted industry procedures.

Gutor systems include:

  • utor PxW: single and three-phase AC UPS system
  • Gutor PXP: industrial AC UPS with PFC rectifier
  • Gutor WxW: single and three-phase AC inverter system
  • Gutor SDC: rectifier / battery charger

Power solutions and battery management systems

Gutor technology offers a wide range of upgrades, including software updates, individual battery cell monitoring and charging, remote monitoring and weak battery detection services. Battery management systems (BMS) and network management cards (NMC) will also be supplied.

Spare and replacement UPS components

The inventory of spare parts ensures systems remain operational. The components are listed under three major categories:

  • Start-up spares: recommended fuses and parts during commissioning
  • Critical spares: suitable for stock, repairs and troubleshooting
  • Consumables: parts with a limited service life and must be regularly replaced

UPS maintenance for reliability

Schneider Electric’s maintenance services are designed to guarantee continued safe and reliable operation of UPS systems.

The company performs visual and functional checks on the system and battery, and determines whether replacement parts are required.

Installation of batteries and UPS systems

Gutor UPS and batteries are correctly installed and working properly. The main tasks include visual inspection of UPS systems and batteries, a functional check of the UPS and a battery discharge test.

Tailored training programmes for UPS engineers

A customised training is created for technical staff for the individual handling of the UPS systems. These programmes are based on the specific requirements, depending on the facilities installed on-site.
